Hello, this is 3R English, an English conversation school in Ofuna, Yokohama.
We are now accepting applications for trial lessons for new Kids' classes of FY2025.
We teach English using the Callan Method and Jolly Phonics. We have much experience in guiding kids to successful EIKEN exam passes, and entry into both high school and University; where English is a priority subject.
If you are an experienced student or a junior high school student, we can also provide you with a trial lesson at any time in a class suited to your level, so please contact us for more information. Small group classes are available as follows:
New class schedule
Sat: 14:10 - 15:10 (class starts in April, a few places available)
Wed: 16:30 - 17:30 (reservations now being taken)
Thu: 16:30 - 17:30 (reservations now being taken)
Please check the following and apply through the inquiry form.
★ We have received many comments from parents that it is difficult to make a decision after just one trial lesson, so we offer a one-month (4 lessons) paid trial, which has been well received. The cost is 11,900 yen per month plus 2,000 yen for a phonics workbook (with video). The phonics materials can be used for home study. Callan Kids materials will be provided free of charge during the trial period. Please note that we are unable to make any lesson transfers during the trial lesson.
★ At 3R, in order to ensure that students acquire English skills, lessons do not end with a 60-minute lesson once a week, but homework is assigned each time (in a reasonable amount), which students are required to do. Therefore, we ask that you support your child's learning at home as well. Please understand this policy upon booking your child's trial lessons with us. We will support your child's English learning by working as a team with your family and the school.
★ We will start with the basics of phonics and English conversation, so the minimum age to apply for a trial lesson is 2nd grade elementary school students who are familiar with a classroom environment and can name any random letter in the alphabet.
